Care Essentials locations in Hawthorne, Pearl neighborhoods closing on March 31, 2024.

We opened 2 Care Essentials locations several years ago, with a goal of providing convenient, same-day, next-day appointments for minor illnesses and injuries.

Since that time, we have developed and expanded several convenient care options that are broadly available to all of our members, including 24/7 advice, e-visits, and virtual visits on demand, either by phone or video, that provide patients with even quicker, easier access to care.

The expansion of our convenient care options has reduced demand for appointments at Care Essentials; therefore, we have made the decision to close our Pearl and Hawthorne locations on March 31. Our providers currently working at our Care Essentials locations will now serve patients in our primary care and urgent care clinics where the need for in-person care is the highest.

If you are a Kaiser Permanente member, and previously received care at Care Essentials, we want to reassure you that there are a variety of same-day and next-day care options available both in-person and virtually, when and where they work best for you.
